CUSTOM BIBLE REBINDING

Custom Orders Pricing (2026)

HOW CUSTOM ORDERING WORKS:

There’s no preparation needed before sending your Bible. Once your custom order is placed, we will give you instructions on how to simply post your Bible to our workshop. Many customers send their current Bible, while others purchase a new one online and have it delivered directly to us.

After ordering, you’ll receive our shipping address and simple instructions. When your Bible arrives to us, we begin crafting your custom rebind using the materials and details that you selected on the "Custom Rebinding Order Form". Once completed, we assure all aspects of your order have been fulfilled, and we then carefully return the finished Bible to you.

If you have any questions about the custom ordering process, please contact us before proceeding.

HAND PERIMETER STITCHING
PERIMETER STITCHING COLOUR

Perimeter stitching is a premium craftsmanship feature in Bible rebinding where waxed thread is sewn around the entire outer edge of the cover. This technique serves both functional and aesthetic purposes.

See examples of PERIMETER STITCHING.

______________

PERIMETER EDGE TOOLING

Perimeter tooling on a Bible rebind is a decorative, artisanal feature where a thin, precise line is impressed into the leather cover, usually running parallel to the edge or surrounding the text block. It is a hallmark of premium, handcrafted binding that adds elegance, framing, and a classic look to the Bible.

3 Ribbons

Berisfords ribbons are widely considered the gold standard for high-end Bible rebinds, prized for their quality, durability, and luxurious feel. They are frequently used by custom binders to replace the low-quality, single ribbons found in many mass-produced Bibles.

See colour options for BERISFORDS RIBBONS.

CUSTOM SPINE OPTIONS
Raised Hubs
Tooled Hubs
Raised AND Tooled Hubs
No Hubs or Tooling

Raised and tooled hubs are decorative, horizontal ridges added to a Bible's spine during rebinding to enhance aesthetics and grip, typically featuring 5 raised bands created with leather cord or molded board beneath the cover material. The process involves precise measuring, gluing, and tooling.

See examples of RAISED AND TOOLED HUBS.

SPINE EMBOSSING (Tick Multiple Options)

Spine embossing on a rebound Bible refers to the decorative and functional process of adding texture, raised elements, or lettering directly to the spine of a new leather cover. This technique, often used in conjunction with high-quality materials like calfskin or goatskin, enhances the aesthetic appeal and durability of the Bible.

If you require additional customised spine embossing, please Contact Us.

Note: Text Font used is Times New Roman.

See examples of SPINE EMBOSSING.

END SHEETS

End sheets in a Bible rebind are high-quality, durable, paper sheets that connect the text block to the new cover. They provide structural integrity, reinforcement at the hinge, and aesthetic appeal. Commonly, they are heavier cardstock, frequently featuring a textured, colored, or marbled finish to complement the new leather, and are cut, folded, and glued to the inside covers.

______________

GILT LINE OPTIONS

A gilt line (or perimeter line) in a Bible rebind is a thin, decorative, metallic foil line (gold, silver, or coloured) added to the inner edge of the leather liner (perimeter). It provides a luxurious, framed, and finished appearance, often matching the page edges.

NOTE: Gilt Line colour will match the spine embossing colour.

See example of GILT LINES.

______________

ADDITIONAL COVER EMBOSSING

Optional embossing for a personal touch. Often includes a person's name, a Bible reference or Cross. We will contact you for details if this option is selected.

See example of COVER EMBOSSING.

______________

PAGE EDGE DYEING

Colour will be confirmed directly with customer.

Art Gilt (Page Dye) adds a colour to the edge of the pages. This tint is created by adding a thin coating of any colour dye onto the edges of the text block. Another option is Speckled Edging giving a unique, decorative touch to the edges of the Bible text-block.

NOTE: This feature is only available on new bibles or page edges in excellent condition.

See examples of PAGE EDGE DYEING AND SPECKLED EDGES.
